The C23 runs across the south side of Galashiels town centre. It starts to the north west, on the A72 Wood Street and follows Woodside Place, then Windyknowe Road. At the end, it TOTSOs left onto Mossilee Road, and then takes the second right onto Gala Park, continuing along Scott Street into Church Street, which comes to an end on the at a mini roundabout on the A7.
