The C24 maintained by Kent Council is a Class III road that runs in a north-south direction. Starting at a T-junction with traffic lights on the A20, the C24 heads north through a residential area as New Hythe Lane, before crossing the M20. Passing over two roundabouts, the C24 enters an industrial area and passes over the New Hythe railway station before terminating at a roundabout adjacent to the River Medway.
