The C24 starts on the B775 on its steep climb out the south side of Paisley to Gleniffer Braes. The C24 too climbs steeply southwards and runs along the council boundary for about a mile between Sergeantlaw and Mossneuk farms. After this point, the road crosses the boundary with certainty. The road itself continues in a southwest direction to meet the B775 once more.
