.

The C27K is the number for the former line of the A92 south of Stonehaven. It starts on the A957 at the southern edge of the town and climbs steadily up hill, including a switchback bend below the towns prominent War Memorial. Heading south along the crest of the hill above the rugged coastline, the route passes the dramatically sited Dunottar Castle, and then reaches the modern line of the A92 near Dunottar Mains.
