For other roads numbered C298, see C298.
The C298 forms a T shaped route on the south side of the Lagan Valley. From the A24 in Carryduff, the roads heads west crossing paths with the C299 on its way towards the small village of Drumbo. In Drumbo the road TOTSOs twice and comes to a T junction to the west of the village. From here the road continues both north and south, thus forming an overall T shaped route. Going north, the road meets the B23 on its way to the B103 in Drumbeg just south of the River Lagan itself. Going south, the road reaches the B6 at Ballymacbrennan.
