Route outline (key)
C29 Forfar - Prosen Bridge
This article is about the Class III road numbered C29 maintained by Angus Council.
For other roads numbered C29, see C29
.

The C29 is the general route from Forfar to the Angus Glens of Prosen and Clova via a route between the B9128 and B955 that constantly zig-zags in a north-westerly direction.

The road begins on the B9128 at Quilkoe just before reaching the A90 which we soon cross over. Also crossed over would have been the old railway line to Brechin of which no trace now exists. After a double bend at Over Bow we enter a mile long straight through Forest Muir of which overtaking can be difficult due to the undulating nature of the road. The Gas Station is passed halfway along on the right and the B957 is reached at Horniecross.

Straight section of the road heading northwards through Forestmuir.

On the other side of the crossroads, the straight continues for nearly a mile with excellent visibility, ending with a left-hand bend at a wood, with the road to Shielhill heading right. A right turn at Drumclune takes us northwards again to reach the C31. We turn left here for a short multiplex before turning right and heading down towards Inverquharity Castle. Once again the route heads left and soon right at Inverquharity Farm, before a final left turn to reach the B955 at the Quharity Burn.
