|Location Map ( geo)|
|Distance:||8.4 miles (13.5 km)|
|Route outline (key)|
The C3-A1 follows 'The Ross' across the southern half of Arran. It starts on the A841 in Lamlash and cuts across the island, first climbing westwards up Manamore Glen, and then crossing the watershed and dropping south west alongside the Sliddery Water to meet the shore once more near Lagg.
The slightly unusual numbering format for the route perhaps reflects that Arran lies in Buteshire, not Ayrshire.
