The C308 is a lengthy route in mid Down. The road starts on the B175 and passes by the C324 on its way through Clonvaraghan. The road turns north west and begins to gradually climb up into the moors around Slieve Croob, where it reaches a high point of 358 metres. After passing over the summit, the road descends westwards and crosses the B7 at Finnis. The road comes to a low point before climbing again as it passes the C323. The road drops down once more to reach a crossroads with the C307 to the left and right and the C310 ahead.
