This article is about the Class III road numbered C30M maintained by Aberdeenshire Council.
For other roads numbered C30, see C30.
For other roads numbered C30, see C30.
The C30M starts on the A93 at Dess, and heads north. It quickly meets the old railway line, and after crossing it, runs alongside as the two routes follow a long straight, for about a mile. They diverge on the approach to Lumphanan, (the C31M taking over the route to the village) with the road turning north west away from the village and climbing steadily up the flank of Corse Hill. The road isn't aiming for the summit, however, and instead meets the A980 at the saddle between Hill of Maud and Corse Hill, the junction being a Cannon, where the C30M turns north west and drops down to meet the B9119 near Altdargue.
