The C30 runs along the north shore of Loch Awe from its southern end, starting on the B840 at Ford and ending on the C29 at Barnaline, about a mile beyond Dalavich. The road is not an easy drive, however, with blind summits, sharp bends and passing through deep forestry. As it is all single track, a good look out for timber lorries needs to be kept!
