The C30 forms a loop to the north east of the B9066 on Westray. It starts at the Loch of Swartmill and heads north to the Bay of Swartmill, where it turns east to curve around the bay. It then turns inland, and crosses to the bay at Skel Wick, before turning back to the south to rejoin the B9066 at Skelwick village - a collections of houses scattered amongst the fields.
