The C317 is a short coastal route in south County Down. It starts at Millfield at a TOTSO on the C316 and makes its way south east along the shores of Carlingford Lough. Soon the road cuts inland a little bit and crosses the White Water just before crossing the route of the C365 at a scattered crossroads. Continuing south, the road provides access to the holiday villages and parks at Cranfield Bay. The class III section runs as far as a mini roundabout at the heart of all the parks.
