The C343 is a Y shaped route in west County Down. The road starts on the B3 in Loughbrickland and travels westwards through the countryside. A spur leads off to the north and TOTSOs west to meet the B3 near Scarva. The remainder of the route makes its way over to the Newry Canal and ends on the C337 just as the latter reaches the Armagh/Down county boundary on its way into Poyntzpass.
