For other roads numbered C35, see C35.
The C35C historically followed a simple route between Oldmeldrum and Tarves. However, with changes to the road network in Oldmeldrum, the number has been assigned to various bits of the former A roads. We shall therefore start at the Barra Roundabout to the south west of the town, with the C35C following the former line of the A981 along Station Road into the town centre. After a short multiplex along the A920, the route resumes at the Market Square, comprising the two sides that are not part of the A920. There is then a spur to the north west along the former A947, King Street and Urquhart Road, to meet the current route.
The mainline, however, heads east from the square, along Kirk Street, crossing the A947 onto Kirk Brae to leave the town behind. Turning north near Reivesley, it reaches Ladysley, where another spur heads west, to meet the B9170 again. The mainline, meanwhile, turns back to the north east and runs through to meet the B999 at a crossroads just east of Tarves.
