Route
The C378 starts as Woodlands Road at a traffic light junction with the A2. Continuing north, the road passes through Gillingham Golf Club, before passing a local primary school and a traffic light crossroads with Cornwallis Avenue. The road is lined with mostly interwar semi detached housing and bends as Woodlands Cemetery is passed on the right. The C378 then passes the end of Gillingham Railway Depot sidings, where trains can often been seen stabled and passes single-file under the railway line. Woodlands Road continues through similar housing as before, being crossing over Grange Road. From here, the C378 becomes Lower Woodlands Road, before shortly ending on the A289 in a LILO junction.
