The C37L number applies to the roads between Gardenstown and Crovie. Both villages lie at the bottom of steep cliffs around Gamrie Bay, but with no direct route between them. Gardenstown has grown over the years, and now extends some distance up the steep slopes, with the C37L starting on the B9123 at the highest of the switchback bends that drop down into the older part of the village. This road starts by heading east, but curves around to the south to reach the B9031 near Cross Slacks. About halfway along, a left turn heads north to Crovie. This is a dead end with very limited parking, and pedestrian only access to the houses along the shore.
