This article is about the Class III road numbered C38 maintained by East Ayrshire Council.

The C38 is a pathetic remnant of its former self. Today it extends for just 300m from the A70 at Glenbuck Loch, terminating at a gate where the driveway to the lodge meets. However, it once continued and former a loop back to the A70, passing through Glenbuck Village. All of this is now gone, with a vast open cast coal mine having consumed large parts of the landscape in the area. Some of the old roadline still survives as internal roads in the quarry site, but not accessible to the public, whilst the western end of the road survives just as a gateway to the west of Airdsgreen
