This article is about the Class III road numbered C39 maintained by Angus Council.

For other roads numbered C39, see C39.
The C39 starts on the A92 just south of the well known bridges over the River North Esk at Kinnaber. It heads south west at first, passing under the railway as it enters the village of Hillside on the A937. After crossing the main road, there is a short multiplex with the C37 before the C39 resumes, following Dubton Road. At Kirkhill, the route turns sharply south, with a further kink before it reaches the A935 near Tayock.
