The C3 is a lengthy loop serving the communities of Yinstay, Linksness and Tankerness to the east of Kirkwall Airport. The start and finish points on the A960 are only about a mile and a half apart, but the route covers over 10 miles as it meanders around the headland between Inganess Bay and Deer Sound.
