This article is about the Class III road numbered C406 maintained by Bath and North East Somerset Council.
For other roads numbered C406, see C406.
For other roads numbered C406, see C406.
The C406 is really two routes sharing a number, as there is a long multiplex along the B3114 in the middle. It doesn't even appear as if the creation of Chew Valley Lake caused a middle section of the C406 to be flooded.
The first part of the route starts on the A368 at Fairash Crossroads to the west of West Harptree and heads north to meet the B3114 about half a mile later. The route then resumes in the centre of Chew Stoke, and follows Pagans Hill north out of the village, crossing the B3130, and contiuning along Limeburn Hill and Wells Road to meet the council boundary.
