This article is about the Class III road numbered C42 maintained by DfI Roads.
For other roads numbered C42, see C42
The C42 is a lengthy T shaped class III road which starts on the A36 just outside Moorfields. From here the road heads south and soon crosses over Kells Water. The road continues south until it comes to a grinding halt at a T junction. The C42 continues both east and west from here. The road west is much shorter and soon meets the B59 and the B98 at Steen's Corner. Meanwhile the longer road to the east passes a T junction marking the start of the C41 towards Doagh. The road continues eastwards and passes to the south of the rather prominent 406m "Big Collin", before terminating at Tildarg on the C39 just short of the latter's junction with the B94.
