This article is about the Class III road numbered C43 maintained by Hertfordshire Council.

The C43 is a class III road in Hertfordshire.
For the northern part of the route, it has a rural feel, starting at the A1170 and heading alongside the New River to St Margarets.
The road passes the headquarters of Concrete Utilities, a long standing manufacturer of lighting and other street furniture who moved to this location in 1925.
At a staggered junction with the B181 we continue south and the road takes on a more suburban feel as we pass houses and schools until we eventually reach a one-way section at the south end of the road, at which point we are ejected back out onto the A1170 Dinant Link Road.
