The C444 starts on the C441 at Boho and heads north west, following the north eastern edge of the western Fermanagh moorlands for much of its length. The road TOTSOs north at Leitrim as it keeps to the west side of the Sillees River and the tributary Screenagh River. The road ends on the C445 near the very prominent Knockmore Cliff.
