This article is about the Class III road numbered C44 maintained by Scottish Borders Council.
For other roads numbered C44, see C44.
For other roads numbered C44, see C44.
The C44 starts at a bend on the B6400 near Bewlie Mains and heads south, turning south west as it meanders over low hills to reach the small village of Minto. Much of the old Minto estate to the east is now a golf course, with the road running alongside for almost a mile. At the south end of the village, the mainline turns south west to meet the B6405 at Melgund near Denholm. There are also two spurs from Minto. The first continues further alongside the golf course to meet the C42 near Teviothaugh, whilst the other is further north and heads west to meet the B6405 near Hassendean.
