C460 (Medway)

Route

The C460 starts at junction with A231 (or B2003) The Brook and Union Street and heads west along the pedestrianised Chatham High Street. Passing a array of shops (including two Primarks), the still-pedestrianised road crosses the Waterfront Bus Station and has a junction with Medway Street. From here, the road is now accessible to cars, but is much quieter since the bus station severed access to Chatham's ring road system. Somewhere along the High Street, Chatham becomes Rochester, and we pass the old site of Rochester station, moved in December 2015 (and Chatham Central station, closed in 1911). The High Street continues towards the west until it reaches a junction at the bottom of Star Hill with the A2, B2097 and the C371.

This route is almost identical to the now defunct A2035.
