The C466 starts at a roundabout on the A367, Peasedown bypass and heads east along Wellow Lane, past the business park and on along Wellow Road into Wellow itself. This pretty village nestles in the valley of the Wellow Brook, with the C466 continuing through the village, to cross the brook and reach Hinton Charterhouse on the B3110. The final section of the route then turns north east along Branch Road to meet the A36. After a short multiplex to the north, the route then winds down into Freshford on Abbey Lane and Freshford Lane.
