This article is about the Class III road numbered C518 maintained by Sunderland Council. For other roads numbered C518, see C518.
The C518 is a short route near Houghton-le-Spring, to the south-west of Sunderland. It begins at a T-junction on the B1284 just north of Rainton Bridge industrial estate and heads west as a narrow country lane. It curves gently around to the north, past a smattering of houses on the right, until it comes to a T-junction on Black Boy Road. It turns left here, and shortly afterwards crosses a narrow bridge over a disused railway; the council boundary follows the railway line and so the C518 ends here.
