The C51 is a T shaped route in western County Antrim. It starts on the B52 in Randalstown and heads westwards along Church Road. After a few kilometres of open countryside, the road reaches a T junction with Ballymatoskerty Road which heads north west. The main line of the C51 continues this way, but continuing west along Church Road a spur reaches the end of the road, turns west onto Gloverstown Road and south onto Lismacloskey Road to meet the A6 east of Toome. Back on Ballymatoskerty Road, the C51 eventually terminates on the B18 within the small village of Moneyglass.
