The C52 starts on the B910 to the west of Clackmannan town centre and heads south along Kirk Wynd and Port Street to the edge of the town. It then continues south across the vast flatlands of the Forth estuary, turning south west and passing Craigton to reach the council boundary in the shadow of the Clackmannanshire Bridge.
