This article is about the Class III road numbered C55C maintained by Aberdeen Council.
For other roads numbered C55, see C55.
For other roads numbered C55, see C55.
The C55C starts on the A947 at Dyce and heads north east along Pitmedden Road, through a largely industrial area. A new route, Dyce Drive, has been built which curves over the railway line, but the C55C still seems to follow Pitmedden Road under the railway, forcing TOTSOs at either end. At the northern end, this forms a staggered crossroads, and then the route passes under the new Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route, curving as it follows the railway westwards. At Pitmedden, the route turns away from the railway, and climbs up and over the Hill of Marcus, to reach the council boundary at Kinaldie. The road continues a very short distance as the C55C (Aberdeenshire).
