This article is about the Class III road numbered C55 maintained by DfI Roads.

For other roads numbered C55, see C55.
The C55 is just over 10 kilometres long and actually forms a shorter 7km route between Portglenone and Ahoghill than the A42, which is over a kilometre longer. The road starts on the A42 on the edge of Portglenone and heads east along Finlaystown Road and briefly joins Garvaghy Road before turning off to the south east along Old Portglenone Road. The road eventually reaches Ahoghill and meets the western branch of the B93 as the latter approaches the A42 to the south. Just north of here, the road resumes and heads north west out of Ahoghill again and after another 3km the road ends on the C56.
