The C56 serves the Mugdock Country Park just outside Milngavie on the north side of Glasgow. However, other than starting on the A81, it is not clear from the council list exactly where the road runs. It is therefore assumed that it follows Broadmeadow Road around the north and west sides of the park, rather than Old Mugdock Road on the east side.
