The C606 starts at the end of the B9084 in Uyeasound. It follows East Road eastwards through the scattered settlement, initially winding round the small bay, before turning inland and crossing to the small settlement of Muness. It then continues a short distance further to the end of the road at Scolla. At the western end, the route also includes the short link between the mainline and the B9084.
