The C634 consists of a rather odd group of roads spanning the Tyrone countryside between Donaghmore and Pomeroy. At its north west end the route has three starting points: Pomeroy (B4), Tremoge (B4) and Dunmisk (C633). The road from Dunmisk runs all the way to the opposite end of the C634 network at Donaghmore and forms the main spine of the route. The road from Tremoge joins the spinal road at Altmore with the Pomeroy segment joining the Tremoge segment nearby as well. From Pomeroy the road initially heads south before coming to a T junction from which it TOTSOs west. Turning south west, this segment of the C634 bizarrely turns off of Cornamaddy Road and back on again with the diversion via Turnabarson Road. Route listings available are not entirely clear about whether the C634 follows Cornamaddy Road or Turnabarson road along this particular stretch, but with a segment being described as "Turnabarson Road" and two separate segments being described as "Cornamaddy Road" in the listings it would lean towards the latter being true. However it should be noted that minor inconsistencies over which sections of road in the area are C class and U class still exist within the listings. Following the spinal segment of the route eastwards, a branch turns north to meet the B43 south east of Pomeroy. The spinal section of the route ends on the B43 just outside Donaghmore.
