The C647 starts on the C450, Maesknoll Lane, at Norton Malreward and follows Norton Lane south west through Norton Hawkfield and in to Chew Magna. It then disappears for a while, multiplexing with first the B3130, then the C449, before reappearing to follow Denny Lane, again running south west, down to the C429, Walley Lane, on the shores of Chew Valley Lake.
