The C65 starts as Lennox Road to the east of the River Tyne in Haddington, and heads west, turning south onto Kirk View. This becomes Gifford Road, then Cockmilane Brae as it leaves the town behind and climbs up through Monkrigg to meet the B6369 at a right-angled bend.
