The C662 starts in the centre of Radstock, but the council list does not appear to have been updated since the fairly recent road improvements in the town centre. The C662 includes Fortescue Road, which is one-way from the A362, The Street, north west to meet the A367, Wells Road. However, the council list also includes The Street, which is now part of the A362. Continuing south, the route climbs Church Street and Kilmersdon Road to reach Haydon, a slightly detached part of Radstock, before reaching the council boundary, the road itself continuing to the B3139 near Kilmersdon.
