The C663 is a lengthy and varied route, taking in a fair number of roads in Omagh before taking a long rural trek in the direction of Fintona and Dromore. The route starts on John Street in Omagh and follows Kevlin Road. Soon the road passes under the A5 bypass with access to this modern stretch provided on its north side. South of the A5 the route continues to follow Kevlin Road but also takes in Townview Avenue, providing a link to Dublin Road (former A5) near a grade separated junction between the A5 and the B48. From here the C663 follows the former A5 and eventually meets the existing A5 once more at a junction just beyond where the Drumragh River is crossed. Back on Kevlin Road, the southern neighbourhoods of the town are eventually cleared and the road comes to a T junction with Ballynahatty Road - also part of the C663. Ballynahatty Road starts on Dublin Road at the southern edge of the town and soon TOTSOs west. From here the road is predominantly rural and generally heads in a south westerly direction for the remainder of its route. The Ballynahatty River is soon crossed as the road bends tightly to do so. Beyond here the road eventually meets the B46 at a crossroads, after crossing the C666, C665 and C664 at three separate crossroads. South of the B46 the road TOTSOs twice at a scattered crossroads before finally coming to an end on the C660 near Vinegar Hill.
