The C73 follows East Loan through Prestonpans. It starts on the B1348, High Street and heads south, initially as Harlaw Hill before following East Loan through the town. East Loan then splits, and it is not clear if just one or both arms are part of the C73 as it makes its way onto Preston Road, for the last short westerly section to the B1349, Station Road.
