The C73 is a cross country road between Ballynure and Larne in east County Antrim. The road starts on the B58 (former A8) in Ballynure and heads east out of the village where it soon turns left (north east) at a scattered crossroads. From here the road passes through the gentle hilly landscape before reaching the B100 at a junction just west of Robert's Burn. The road continues north east from another junction immediately north of here and crosses the burn. Soon the road reaches Toreagh where it briefly turns on and back off of Raloo Road to continue its journey north east. After a few more kilometres the road reaches the edge of the high ground and descends into Larne, terminating on the C74 Carrickfergus Road on a T junction at the southern edge of the town. Curiously, neither road seems to continue into town to meet the A2.
