For other roads numbered C77, see C77.
The C77 forms an L shaped route consisting of two distinct sections. The first section starts on the A2 alongside Larne Lough just west of Magheramorne Quarry and heads south to meet the B90 at the latter's TOTSO at the north end of the village of Ballycarry. The second section of the road commences by heading west off the B90 slightly further south and heading out of the village where it turns right at the T junction. The road meanders its way to a crossroads on the B149 at Beltoy where the road comes to an end.
