The C79 is a very short route in West Kilbride which manages to connect all 4 of the B roads in this small town. It starts on Curbieshaw Street, originally the B781, but now sometimes shown as part of the B7047, and heads west, crossing Gateside Street, the B781, and running along St Brides Road to reach a roundabout on the B782, with the B7048 terminating opposite.
