Route outline (key)
C7K Johnshaven - Clattering Bridge
This article is about the Class III road numbered C7K maintained by Aberdeenshire Council.
For other roads numbered C7, see C7
.

The C7K is a lengthy route starting on the A92 near the coast at Johnshaven and heads inland, in a vaguely north west direction, to meet the A90 at Powburn. A little before reaching the A90, there is also a spur which heads north to cross the B967 at Fordoun. The last section of this spur is the former line of the B967, prior to the A90 being dualled, and is now a cul-de-sac. Returning to the mainline, it crosses the A90 at a staggered crossroads, with a double central reservation gap, and continues north west across the B966 to reach Auchenblae. Here there appears to be a multiplex with the C1K, before the two routes split again at the north end of the village. The C7K takes the left fork and curves round to the west, climbing the Glen of Drumtochty and then running through Strath Finella, finally dropping down steeply to meet the B974 at Clattering Bridge.

Looking westwards along the wooded Glen of Drumtochty.
