The C7 runs east from the A813 in Jamestown, Alexandria, along Auchincarroch Road, past the farm of the same name. Continuing east it passes the C8 and just under a mile later it comes to an end at the council boundary. Oddly, the road itself only runs a few yards further, before coming to a gate at a farm, after which it is just a hill track.
