The C82 starts at the roundabout at the east end of Burntisland's High Street, where the A921 does a virtual hairpin from Kinghorn Road to climb the hill up Cromwell Road. The C82 then runs west along the High Street, which is was formerly part of the A909, and turns north up Lothian Street, becoming Kirkton Road, to rejoin the A921.
