The C83C heads north from the A96 at Pitcaple, quickly crossing the River Urie and passing through Whiteford. After a short run through fields, it reaches Durno where the road forks. The C85C turns right, whilst the mainline becomes the C83S as it continues to Kirktown of Rayne.
