This article is about the Class III road numbered C87 maintained by North Ayrshire Council.
For other roads numbered C87, see C87.
For other roads numbered C87, see C87.
The C87 runs north from Kilwinning to meet the B714 at Bankhead to the south of Dalry. It's southern end, however, doesn't meet a classified or C road any more. Previously, it started on the C43, Ashgrove Road. However, the junction between the two has now been stopped up, leaving Ashgrove Road as a dead end, with the C87 turning along part of the former route - now renamed as Meadow Park Road - to the roundabout with Whitehirst Park Road. All of the other roads at this roundabout are, however, U roads.
