The CL3-A1 is the odd number of Bute Terrace in Millport on the Isle of Great Cumbrae. It starts on the B896, West Bay Road and briefly runs north, before turning north east onto Bute Terrace proper. This runs parallel to the B896 along the shore. The route then comes to an end on College Street. As far as can be ascertained, this is the full extent of the CL3-A1, with College Street being a U road.
The strange number probably originates from the fact that Great Cumbrae is part of Buteshire, not Ayrshire. It is not entirely clear if this route is genuinely the equivalent of a C road.
