The CL3-A2 is the odd number of Kames Street in Millport on the Isle of Great Cumbrae. It starts on the B899, Ferry Road just north of its junction with the B896 and runs north west, climbing the hill a little to meet College Street. As far as can be ascertained, this is the full extent of the CL3-A2, with both College Street and the onward climb up and over the hill being U roads.
The strange number probably originates from the fact that Great Cumbrae is part of Buteshire, not Ayrshire. It is not entirely clear if this route is genuinely the equivalent of a C road.
