Carmarthenshire Council

Carmarthenshire County Council is the Highway Authority responsible for all public roads in the Carmarthenshire principal area, other than those managed by the South Wales Trunk Road Agent (SWTRA) on behalf of the Welsh Government.

The county council is responsible for the maintenance of 2,074 miles (3,338 km) of roads and associated footpaths and also maintain bridges, traffic signals, road markings, traffic signs, and 23,500 street lights. Winter maintenance is undertaken on 28% (580 miles / 933 km) of the network.
